Georgia Runoff: Mitch McConnell vs. John Lewis
vs.
Let’s cut to the chase . . .
Georgia voters on January 5 will choose between Mitch McConnell and John Lewis.
If Georgia voters vote for Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, “The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act” will be immediately brought up in The United States Senate and will be passed and immediately signed by President Joe Biden.
If they vote for Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Sen. David Perdue, Mitch McConnell will continue to be “Majority Leader” and will continue to NOT bring up “The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act”. As such, it will not pass and it will not make it to President Biden’s desk.
How do we know this?
It’s really easy.
HR 4, “The Voting Rights Advancement Act” passed The House of Representatives on December 6, 2019. On July 27, 2020, ten days after his death, The House renamed the bill, “The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act” in his honor.
227 Democrats voted FOR the bill. NO Democrats voted against it. Conversely, just 1 Republican voted FOR the bill. 186 Republicans voted against.
