Covid Vaccines For Dummies

Trying to defend against Covid without a vaccine is like letting the opposing team do whatever it wants on a basketball court.

Here’s all you (and your anti-vax friends and family) need to know about the Covid vaccines:

1. Covid is a “Novel” virus. Our immune system has not seen it before.

2. Because our immune system has not seen it before we don’t have any antibodies hangin’ around to fight it.

3. Without a vaccine once your body recognizes this new “pathogen”/virus/invader it has to start — from scratch — to design and manufacture antibodies to fight it.

4. It takes at least a few days for even a strong immune system to create the specific antibodies.

5. In those first few days the virus runs free and miltiplies at will, launching its assault on our nasal cavity, throat, lungs and other organs. Imagine a basketball game where the opponent has 3, then 4, then 5 players on the court . . . all while YOUR team is still in the locker room suiting up.

6. By the time your immune system does suit up, it’s already the 2nd Quarter and The Covid Virus is ahead 25–0. (And with all the points being unguarded “slam dunks”!)

7. Depending on the strength of your immune system and potential “co-morbidities” you scramble to catch up to kill the already rampant virus and prevent its further replication and spread. The fever, cough, fatigue, cytokine storms, and many other things, are…
